FAQ 2 — What Happens to My Light After a Power Outage?

In GLOWRIUM App version 3.1, when a device experiences a power outage and is powered back on, the light operates according to the following logic:

1. Indicator Behavior After Power Is Restored

When the device is powered back on, if a loss of clock/time information is detected, the ON/OFF indicator will flash red at a frequency of approximately once per second (1Hz).

This flashing red light is a reminder that the device’s time needs to be resynchronized.

2. Button Response With and Without Timer Enabled

When the timer function is NOT enabled:
Pressing any button will cancel the red flashing indicator and execute the corresponding function of that button.

When the timer function IS enabled:
Pressing any button will not cancel the red flashing indicator. The device will continue to indicate an abnormal clock state.

3. Indicator Status When Timer Is Enabled

When both of the following conditions are met:

  • The device has lost clock/time information

  • The timer function is enabled

The ON/OFF indicator will continue flashing red (1Hz).

Once you turn off the timer function, the indicator will stop flashing and display the corresponding color based on the current ON/OFF status of the light.

4. How to Restore Normal Operation

Normal operation can only be restored after the device successfully connects to the app and completes time synchronization. Once the clock is restored, the red flashing indicator will stop.

5. Indicator Priority Explanation

The clock loss alert is considered a critical notification and has a higher priority than normal indicator display settings.

Therefore, even if you have disabled indicator lights in the app, the ON/OFF indicator will continue flashing red when a clock loss needs to be reported, ensuring that you are aware of the issue.

Helpful Tip

To avoid abnormal operation or timer failure after a power outage, we recommend opening the GLOWRIUM App and completing the connection and synchronization as soon as the device is powered back on.
